Wholly Communion

Be not deceived.

He is not a Shaman.

He is a fashion model.

I shot him on the "runway".

Somehow I managed to catch him with his eyes closed.

Somebody say "Amen".

What is the essence of this shot?
What is this shot for, what are you trying to show the viewer, what are you depicting.

Give you an example, if I did not see your comments stating this is a model on a runway I would not know a) this is a model and b) he was shot on the runway.

The angle does not work for this shoit, thewre are way to many contradictions going on in this image that do not gell. The colour tones are way too harsh.

Now that is what I see.

So I ask you again..

SO WHAT IS THE ESSENCE OF THIS SHOT?

Hi SS,
Thanks for all your comments.
I'm not so sure if I've got a convincing answer to this question. Thanks for pointing out the color harshness... and you're right, for a runway shot this does not work. But then again, in putting this photo up, I assumed I was de-contextualising it... converting it - reinterpreting more like - from what it originally was (a model shot), to a stand-alone, new meaning shot. If I hadn't mentioned that it was a runway shot, what would you have thought, apart from the harsh color?
